4 Months Old!

Can you believe Finley is 4 months old already? Time sure does fly! Here are a couple of pictures mom and dad got on her 4 month birthday.

Finley had her 4 month check up this week and I had my 3 year check up. Finley weighed in at 14 lbs and 25 inches long. I'm up to 33 lbs and 39.5 inches tall. Finley is trying so hard to sit up and can even balance for a short time on her own. She is really reaching for toys now and I've seen her eyeing my Thomas trains lately...this could be trouble. :) I love to talk and sing to her and I'm really good at making her smile. She is more and more fun every day!

Father's Day

For Father's Day, I made Daddy some yummy golf cupcakes. They were really easy and a lot of fun to make. I started by squeezing some frosting onto the top of the cupcake.
Then I taste tested the frosting to make sure it was good enough for Daddy.
Next, I dipped the cupcake into some green sanding sugar.
A flag pin and tic tac ball and they were all finished! I did a quick count to see if Daddy would notice if one was missing...
...but, luckily, Daddy came home just in time to share one!

Three Years and Three Months

June was a big month in our house - I turned 3 and Finley reached the 3 month mark! I had a Lightning McQueen party complete with a Lightning cake. I loved when everyone sang to me and knew just what to do when they were finished.

Then it was time to cut into Lightning. Daddy said I could have any piece I wanted, so I picked one right in the middle. :)

I love cake! And the black fondant tires weren't bad either. I had a great time on my birthday and can't wait to do it again next year!

A week later, Finley had her three month birthday. We were in Sunriver and mommy didn't make a sign, but here are a couple of pictures. Finley likes to fly...but beware of the drool.
She is getting pretty good at the assisted sit and seems impatient to be able to do it on her own. She doesn't like to lean back and will pull herself upright...which leads to falling over. :)
Finley has also started to laugh, found her voice (I think she must be part cat), rolled over from her tummy to her back, and started grabbing at and playing with her toys which she mostly tries to shove in her mouth. Her tummy issues seem to be doing better and she's been a lot happier lately, but she still likes to be held a lot of the time. Mommy is getting really good at doing most things one handed. :)
