How Did Sand Get There?

You ever been to the beach for a nice day of sun and water, only to find that sand had invaded every crease? Well, yeah . . . let's move on.

We got to the park and had a little sit down time before getting to the sand events.

Dad just looks the wrong size, doesn't he?

What was I thinking here? "Why did all those investors not see the underlying risk in the collateralized debt obligations and credit default swaps?" Yeah, that was it, deep thought.

Hey, paparazzi!! Is this my good side?

Does Daddy remind you of the manager from Office Space? Ummm, yeah. I think you're going to have to redo that TPS report. . .

Daddy, can I walk on water?

No no, Son. Hold my hand and we'll learn what gravity and density are all about.

Future plumbers of America :)

Wait a minute, I've been walking on play material. Let's get this party started. I love the feel of sand between my fingers.

And, I love sand above my head. Can you use sand to exfoliate your follicles?

I love the feel of sand between my toes! Wreck anything from "The Establishment"! All things stacked are meant to come down!

Wait, what's that sound?? AIRPLANE!! AIRPLANE!!! (pronounced aiwpwaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin)

Who wants to get soft touches from Connor? Hold my hand?

What does this stuff taste like? Yum, earthy.

Do you think I could have been on Baywatch?

Yum, this stick also tastes earthy. . .

DUCKY!!! Come here please. I want to supplement my mid-morning earthy snack with some duck liver pate.
Okay, I can't walk on water. But, it is good for washing off.
This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed home, and this little piggy had duck pate, and this little piggy couldn't catch that #$(* bird and went hungry. DUCKY!!!!!

Grandmamma Berg is Coming

I don't get to see my Oma as much as I'd like. But, I love it when we get time to play. During this visit in August, Mother Nature also recognized Oma's visit by offering a little sky painting. At least I think Mother Nature did it as I haven't known Oma to control the weather and heavens in the past. But, you never know with Oma. . .

We played with some of the toys in the living room. I was trying to teach Oma how to read, but I think she was distracted by my deep blue eyes.

When I finally got her to concentrate, she got the hang of it really quickly.

I love to READ!!!! Gimmi some sugar!!!!

May I help you? Oh yes, behind me is the music animal. Can you make it go? We must have music at all times. Sesame Street is my favorite these days. Nothing better than the Elmo Song.

I'm also a big fan of head butts. I have to be careful of the soft spots though. . .

Oma, you're doing it wrong. Please don't make me discipline you :(

Oops, caught on tape. These are "soft touches", I swear.

Freedom! If I'm real quite, maybe they won't figure out I've escaped for a while. Notice my outfit (a new addition from Oma's love of the Kenneth Cole line for young, strapping men).

Deep in thought.

Touchdown? How big is Connor? Airplane? What?

We sat on the porch for a while and paid our respects to the crowds that gathered. No sense in being rude to the fans.

As always happens, we had to go back inside at some point. I love playing outside, but all the food and bedding is inside. I gotta figure out how to fix that. . .
And before you knew it, the trip was over way too fast. Oma gives good nose kisses.

Zan-Man in the House

Um . . . what? I'm not doing anything to be ashamed of. Golf club? Oh, this. I was just taking it for a walk. I wanted to give it some exercise before people came to visit. It was a little while ago, but Zan came to visit in early August, the same weekend that Grampa Roger and Liz came through on their return from Hawaii. Anyway, I just wanted to take my driver for a walk before everyone showed up. I didn't have any plans to experience my environment in a new way vicariously through the club. . .

Zan and I had a good time playing "stack". He really appreciated my demolition skills. Can you tell by the look in his eyes?
Ah, okay. So I found another golf club. This is my #7 iron. I didn't have a chance to walk it before the weekend visits. I think I "experienced" Zan via the club right after this picture was taken.
Ooooohhhhhh, camera! Let me see that!
Um, alright. I found the driver again. It was feeling left out.
Okay, I'm getting a little tired of your judgement. I don't have any golf clubs here, but you still have a funny look to you. Don't you like my hair?
Zan, thank you for coming to visit. Sorry it took my parents so long to get the pictures up. Unfortunately, I can't really control them.

And, thank you Roger and Liz for my cool new Hawaii tee-shirt. It's definitely helped my flirting efforts this summer :)

Food Land

Yeah, I'm sitting in the refrigerator. Don't judge me. You don't know my life. I was hungry . . .

and THIRSTY!!
Beer here! I think I'll have a hefeweizen. Tasty, not too filling.
And, Ranch dressing? I don't know, it just sounded good. Kinda looks like milk, and I really like milk.

Good bye my friends. I will come back to eat you tomorrow.

I'm a DIRTY BABY!!!!

OOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!! I like Mother Earth and all of the wonderful dirt and water involved. Hmm, what happens when you mix them together?

MUD!! I think it really helps with the sheen on my skin.

It feels good between my toes, and fingers, and hairs, and everything.

Just like the Nike motto suggests, "Just Do It!!!"
Okay, clean up. A broom should do it, right?
