This One's for the Ladies

Alright People,

I'm about 6 weeks old now and I choose to no longer hide behind the facade of my young exterior. I'm ready to unleash my incredibly irresistible nature to the ladies!!! Now, I must confess, I've already got a few things in the works:

Ava Jefson - My Chicago girl, wholesome like Lou Malnati's Pizza
Denali Duffy - My international flavor from across the sea
Claire Vaitkus - My older lady friend that brings the experience

But, with the above full disclosure, I'd like to make sure we all know that I am, as of yet, totally unfettered. Now, so that we understand the credentials behind this call to action for the ladies, let me lay out my resume. . .

This is me at Microsoft holding a status meeting. See how attentive Fiona is as I disperse wisdom.

Yeah, 1 month old seems like a distant memory. Don't let age deceive you though, I am wise far beyond my weeks.

I'm an inquisitive sort; always up for an adventure or midnight walk along the beach.

Had to show my human side too. I am strong and courageous, but also caring and gentle.

And, behind it all, there is a righteous anger. Don't tread on justice or the American way!!

I know how to relax and be peaceful. You could say that I enjoy entering into God's rest.

And least and last, this is a stupid human trick. My arms sometimes stick straight up into the air when I sleep. Ladies, I'll take dowry entries now. . .

Set the Record Straight

Alright Folks,

Now it's time for Mom and Dad to set the record straight. Connor is a good kid, but he's a little manic. Happy one minute, crazy the next! He's sleeping pretty well at night, waking to feed 2-3 times. During the day for the last week, however, he's been really fussy. The books call it a growth spurt. I call it an endurance test. Tanya deserves a gold start!

Here's the start of a manic cycle. He looks stable here, right?

No such luck. 2 seconds later, something has Connor wound up.

Then we have video footage of the event. Not a ton of crying, but he does make some good sounds.

We of course had to add some commentary since I like to pretend I know what he's thinking

And then, back to sweet. I tell you, bi-polar!

Later last night we bathed him too. Connor likes the bath a lot it seems. He hasn't cried there yet.

The next day Tanya brought Connor to see my group at work. Notice his cool shoes from Auntie Tina! The outfit is from Sharon. Thanks!!

Aiet Yo, I Got This Thing Figured Out!!!

Hey Super Fans,

I'm here to tell you that I got this thing figure out!! My parents, on the other hand, may not have a full deck of cards if you know what I mean. Dad is looking a little useless at night. Mom does all the work and I swear that Dad wouldn't wake up if Christ returned. Then there's Mom. She just doesn't seem to understand that I feast at times, and snack at others. I don't want to eat hard core every meal. I'm refined!

Anyway, I'm over 3 weeks old now and way ahead of the curve. The baby books say I should be doing things at 2 months that I do now. So much for the pundits.

Enjoy the pics. Got one of my at my birthday party and a video of me beatin the pants off some bears that got into me territory. Later!

Dad Is Trying Something New

Hello All,

I'm playing with the blog and wanted to post some videos. I don't have time tonight to do a lot, but I want to see if I can get this video on the blog. It shows Connor enduring parental torture. The commentary covers what we're up to. Enjoy :)

EAT!!!!!! Sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep . . .

It's July 5 and everyone is gone. They left me. Oma went back to Chicago. Bob and Tina flew back to San Francisco. Cindy and Roger (and Melissa, Liz, Erik) are all gone. Julie/Scott/Drew/Brooklyn-Wooklyn Cheetoe-Face all left.
Now its all boiled down to the most simple things. I eat and sleep. I'm up over 10 lbs now, so I don't want you people thinking that all my eating is for nothing. I'm gettin huge so that I can eat more!
Okay, it's late, so let's get to the good stuff.
Like I said, I eat!!!
And then I sleep. I love my mommy
We went to Roger and Cindy's wedding on June 30. I slept a lot there too.
I slept while I turned 2 weeks old.

I even sleep when I'm trying to eat my dad's finger.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot! I also weight lift. My head is heavy!!!

Over 1 Week Old and We Haven't Killed Him Yet :)

We're back after a couple days of silence. I've got to hurry since Connor is sleeping while I write this, but will almost certainly sense that I am not paying attention to him and wake up very soon. It's been a busy couple of days with doctor visits, feedings, visits from friends, blowouts, "sprinkle" sessions, etc. Right now, Tanya's family is on the way in to see Connor, but more importantly, to see Tanya's mom Cindy and Roger get married. Anyway, I'll put in some pictures now cause that's what we all want to see :)

Yeah, I survived the first week despite all my parents attempts to get rid of me

I got my first bath. I thought I deserved a little more modest venue, though . . .

Family has started to arrive for the weekend wedding and they all want a piece of Connor!

Now Accepting Royal Audiences . . .

Hello All My Subjects,

After 6 days of life preparation, I am now ready to meet my loyal subjects in small, manageable groups. It's not that I am intimidated by any of you, but more that I can't walk/talk/etc. on my own yet. Regardless, please submit your petitions with my inner cabinet (aka Mom and Dad) and we'll try to recognize all requests. However, no promises can be made at this time.

I digress. Below are some pictures from my most recent audience. Enjoy the event chronicled below.

I am more than willing to get close to my subjects . . .

I often spend significant time in deep contemplation.

I enjoy holding court from my specially designed, human throne.
