I Lub da Amnimals

Hello Everyone,

As always, I'm a bit behind the times as Oma came to visit at the beginning of May. But, better late than never, and we had a blast. Oma taught me a couple new games like "climb the stairs" and "throw stuff in the bathtub". Without further ado, pictures!!

Oma took a hands on approach to helping me read. I had a slight Austrian accent by the end of the weekend :)

We all went to the aquarium together. This super-huge fish tank had lots of cool fishies. My favorite is the puffer-fish. It was just enough to distract me from being strapped to my dad's chest. Dad, common!!!!
Yes dad, my head smells like baby. Stop being inappropriate. Ooooohhhhhh, fishy!
You mean I get to touch the fishies? It's okay that I can only use one finger. I only touch things in two ways anyway, one finger touch and all out smack!
One finger star fishy touch.

If I behave myself, can I take the shark home?
Otters clap clap clap!
Then on Sunday we went to Cirque du Soleil. I took the opportunity to do some interval training on the way from the car to the circus tent. Sprint, run out of gas, get carried . . . sprint . . .
Family picture. Can you believe the "Sunday best" outfit they put me in?
Corteo, what does that mean? Does it mean something in frog language?
On the way into the show, they funneled us through the gift shop. Does this hat make my butt look big?
I have something in mind. Can you tell what it is?
Tasty cream of vanilla ice n stuff with crunchy outer coating of chocolate goodness!!! Hmmmm.
This may be the best thing God has yet created.
More!

Brain FREEZE!!!! You could have warned me that it was cold!
It hurts! And yet, it tastes so good :)
More please.
Wait, what was I doing?
And I'm spent. That ice cream took a lot out of me.

Walking...well, almost :)

My Great Aunt Sarah gave me this cool push toy when I was down visiting in March. I was a little hesitant at first, but I'm getting the hang of it now. If only I could figure out how to steer...

Bowling for Connor-bine

Hello Folks,

Been a while since I reported out on life in the fast lane, but just hold tight. There are some exciting events in the chute and now, without further ado, here is the first wave of pictures. . .

Gramma and Grampa came to visit in mid-April. I could talk about all the phenomenal stuff we did or how much fun we had, but the real story is in the cuisine.

Turkey jerky people!!! Did you all know about this stuff and keep me in the dark. TURKEY JERKY!!!!
GOAL!!!!! TURKEY JERKY!!!!

And, I turned 10 months old. And, how does any self respecting 10 month old that just discovered jerky celebrate? Bowling of course :)
Freedom is just on the horizon. I'm so close I can taste it!
Argh!!!! Foiled again! Why won't they just let me go?
Ian and I spent some time commiserating after Auntie NayNay foiled my jail brake. Ian gets me.
But, I let Auntie NayNay apologize by feeding me french fries. We all have a price.

Sherpa-Daddy

Hello Everyone,

It's been a while since I got the pictures out, so this is a jam packed issue. In the last little bit, we went down to Portland to see Gramma and Grampa, did some house projects, and enjoyed some of the nicer spring weather. Here we go!

Down in Portland, I got a chance to play with my cousins Car-Face (Drew) and Cheetoe-Face (Brooklyn). I really like to pick out the my favorite cars. . .
I want that one!
Wait, no I don't. . .
Not this one either! I'll find the right one sooner or later.
When we got back home, Mom made me clean house. I like to Swiffer.

And, I like to rearrange my drawer. Hum, where did I put that nipple?
Where is my sippee cup?

After I clean house, I like to clean up. What you lookin' at?
Yeah, this physique is a work of art.
My Omi sent me a Easter package that had a couple great things in it. I love this duckie.
For my 9 month birthday, Dad let me drive his new car.
No Occifer, I wasn't dwinking.
I love PAPER!!!
I pulled a Connor out of the hat.
Me and Dad doing a little house work. Turned out to be part of my cage (plastic sheeting for the upstairs railing so I can't fall through).
Looks like we're plumbers, huh?
Rockin' the washer and dryer.
I decided, after all the house work, that it was time to get out and enjoy the outdoors.
I'm serious.

Still serious.

Sherpa-Daddy made me tired.

New Tricks!

Hi Everyone. Just a few videos to show you what I'm up to these days.

I found some new toys in the kitchen. I love to empty the drawers, but I gotta figure out how to do it without getting my fingers stuck!

I also like to throw Daddy's clothes all over the floor...and he LOVES to come home to the mess. :)

Finally, I'm on the move. It took me a little while, but I think I have this crawling thing down! I'm also getting pretty good at pulling myself up on furniture and walking around. Mommy says life will never be the same again. :)

I'm Too Sexy . . .

I could try to explain the title this time around, but I'll let you all find the picture that justifies the title and let you enjoy the experience. It's been relatively quite for the Scharpenbergs since we got back from LA. We've been cleaning up around the house, getting back to the weekly routine, and spending the weekends at the mall and just hanging out with friends. Mom and Dad got a church small group started at the house on Wednesday nights, and as always, Uncle Ian and Auntie NaaNaa come over on Thursday nights for Lost. Anyway, here are the pictures you're looking for.

Gramma was up here the weekend around her birthday, so we had a little play time. I like flying.

Mom, Dad, NaaNaa, and Ian in their prime. They just can't seem to handle living large with Connor Man.

Uncle Ian and I couldn't decide who deserved the stray more. Gimmy!!

We made it to the park when Gramma Cindy and Grampa Roger were here. I like the swing.

Just chillin'.

Oh yeah, did I mention that I'm cruisin' now? For those of you that don't know the baby lingo, cruisin' is when a baby starts grabbing on to things and standing up and even walking around.

Push!

Common! Bear down!

And we're up. What you talkin' bout Willis?

Yeah, I'm cruisin' around the table.

And I'm posing too. I've taken to putting my hands behind my head. Why, cause I'm chillin'.
Pay no attention to the placement of my hand.

Still chillin'. Maybe show boatin' a little bit. Do you like me now?

I'm too sexy!!

And, just to let you all know, it's not all fun and games. I help around the house too!
